#MillionsMissing 2024!

#MEACTION  LAUNCHES NATIONAL CAMPAIGN:
#TEACH ME TREAT ME

This May, #MEAction is launching a national campaign to educate hospital systems and medical schools about ME/CFS by hosting Teach ME events at medical schools, and Treat ME events at hospital systems across the U.S.

#MEAction teams are hosting 13 medical education events throughout the spring, summer and fall to encourage medical providers to take the Mayo Clinic Proceedings Continuing Medical Education (CME) course on ME/CFS, and presenting medical education flashcards on ME/CFS, Long COVID, and other infection-associated chronic illnesses to medical schools.

As part of the campaign, researchers at five major institutions have submitted Letters of Intent to signify their formal interest in collaborating with #MEAction in our ongoing Teach ME, Treat ME initiative, including researchers at Georgetown, Emory, Brown, Mayo Clinic and University of Montreal. These major institutions have an enormous influence on our healthcare system, and we’re thrilled at this massive opportunity to move the needle on ME healthcare.

Show up from home  #MillionsMissing!

We need our community to SHOW UP FROM HOME this May to draw attention to the great need for medical providers and specialists who can diagnose and treat ME/CFS.

Our goal is to create a groundswell of awareness this May around ME/CFS & medical education that will catch the attention of the press, medical schools, hospitals, and practitioners.

We hope that some of the thousands of clinicians being educated through our #TeachMETreatME campaign will become the specialists we so desperately need.
